On Thursday, May 10th, VCM Builders, full-service construction firm, took home the coveted trophy at the City of Fort Lauderdale Community Appearance Awards for Beach House, a new single-family development in east Fort Lauderdale developed by Macken Companies. Two other projects recently completed by VCM Builders, Parallel 1 and Parallel 2 townhome communities, were named as finalists.

The City of Fort Lauderdale Community Appearance Awards are presented annually to celebrate properties that promote aesthetic value to the community and environmental preservation. The Community Appearance Board selects winning properties based on a site review of the project’s exterior, the structure and outdoor space, as well as how the project visually enhances the community. view the full story


62,500 SF WALMART-ANCHORED SHOPPING CENTER IN MIAMI GARDENS CONSTRUCTED BY VCM BUILDERS SELLS FOR $11.85 MILLION

Macken Companies, a vertically integrated real estate development, construction and brokerage firm, today announced Palmetto Design Center, its seven-acre, 62,500-square-foot shopping plaza at 3791 NW 167 St. in Miami Gardens, has been sold to Rise Star, LLC for $11.85 million. The plaza, completed in 2016, was developed in a joint venture between Macken Companies and Zvi Shiff of DZD Holdings. Monte I. Greenberg of Macken Realty represented the Seller, Palmetto Design Center LLC, in this transaction. Closing took place May 15, 2018. view the full story

With a Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market as its anchor, Palmetto Design Center is a 63,000 square-foot shopping center located at 3799 NW 167th St. in Miami Gardens.

The Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market opened in January 2015. The adjoining inline space totals in excess of 11,500 square feet and is currently over 75% leased. Tenants include T-Mobile, Lee Nails, Edible Arrangements and Cell Phone Repair.
